Technical Requirements
Mandatory Skills & Experience
Industrial Automation
Conversant with Siemens S7-1200 PLC programming
Experience with VFDs:
Strong understanding of industrial sensors:
Pressure sensors
Flow sensors
Proximity sensors
Ultrasonic sensors
Load cells
Ability to design and validate machine interlocks, sequencing, and safety logic
Embedded & IoT Systems
Hands-on experience with ESP32 using ESP-IDF
Firmware development and debugging for machine control applications
Experience using Raspberry Pi for IoT gateways or edge computing
Familiarity with MQTT-based communication
Integration with AWS IoT for:
System Testing & Validation
Ability to test machines in factory (P2) before dispatch
Perform functional testing, I/O validation, and sequence verification
Support FAT-related activities where required
Documentation
Support & Troubleshooting
Provide Level-3 technical support to service teams and customers when required
Root-cause analysis of automation, sensor, communication, or logic issues
Support commissioning and troubleshooting during critical escalations

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain automation logic using PLC and embedded platforms
Implement and validate control logic involving PLCs, ESP32, sensors, and VFDs
Integrate machine automation with IoT systems using Raspberry Pi and AWS IoT
Define and document machine sequence of operations
Conduct factory testing at P2 prior to machine dispatch
Support service teams during commissioning and escalated customer issues
Troubleshoot automation, communication, and sensor-related faults
Continuously improve automation architecture for reliability and scalability
Preferred Candidate Profile (Summary)
Background in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering
Experience in industrial equipment or machine automation
Comfortable working across PLC, embedded firmware, and IoT layers
Interested in evolving beyond traditional PLC-only automation
